1. Introduction
Welcome to The Variation Tutors. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and our tutor-matching services. By registering as a Student/Parent or a Tutor, you agree to these terms.
2. Nature of Service
The Variation Tutors acts as a matching platform connecting students with independent, verified tutors. We are not the direct employer of the tutors; tutors operate as independent contractors.
3. The 2-Day Demo Policy
We offer a 2-day free demo class for new student-tutor matchings. If the parent/student does not wish to continue after the two demos, no fees will be charged by The Variation Tutors or the Tutor.
4. Payment Terms & Commission Structure
Upon agreeing to continue classes after the successful demo, the Parent pays an upfront 'Registration and Platform Fee' to The Variation Tutors (equal to 70% of the first month's tuition). The remaining balance for the first month is paid directly to the Tutor at the end of the month. From the second month onward, 100% of the tuition is paid directly to the Tutor. Tutors agree to this split and are prohibited from requesting the full first month's payment directly.
5. Non-Circumvention
Tutors agree not to bypass The Variation Tutors to arrange direct payment or alternate tutoring arrangements with clients introduced by the platform during the first month.
6. Liability & Dispute Resolution
The Variation Tutors is not liable for disputes, academic outcomes, or damages arising directly between the Tutor and Parent. Ongoing disputes from month two onward must be resolved directly between the parties.
7. Refunds
The 70% upfront Registration and Platform Fee paid to The Variation Tutors is non-refundable once the parent confirms the tutor and classes commence. Guarantee: If the tutor leaves unprofessionally during the first month, we guarantee a free replacement within 7 days, or we will issue a full refund of your Registration Fee.
